Gabby Sharp

Physiotherapist /Owner

With a clinical Masters degree in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy, postgraduate qualification in Western acupuncture and over ten years experience both in NZ and the StretchingUK in this field. Gabby has a wealth of knowledge in treating musculoskeletal and sports injuries. She has worked with several athletes both professional and recreational including representative Netball and Basketball teams and NZ football.

Gabby prides herself in ensuring her patients have a clear understanding of their condition and expectations of their recovery. She uses a hands-on approach to treatment with techniques including manual therapy, acupuncture, myofascial release and soft tissue work. She believes addressing the cause of injuries is an essential part of the rehabilitation process, incorporating appropriate, individualised exercise programmes to help patients achieve their goals. She is qualified in both mat and equipment based Pilates rehabilitation.

Previously a dancer, Gabby now keeps fit with a variety of activities including running, cycling and paddle boarding and uses a combination of Yoga and Pilates to balance her exercise regime and keep her injury free.

From her own experience, Gabby understands the importance of looking after yourself and your general wellbeing to assist in both injury recovery and prevention. She is excited to be part of a great team here at True as she feels we offer the whole package.
